What we collect
QR information is processed locally in your browser and isn't uploaded to ClearQR's servers, including any logo image you upload. ClearQR does not currently use analytics or cookies.
We don't require an account, and we don't ask for your name, email, or payment details to use the generator.
Analytics and cookies today
ClearQR does not currently use analytics or cookies of any kind: no visit tracking, no advertising trackers, no cross-site tracking. If that ever changes outside of the advertising described below, this policy will be updated first to describe exactly what's collected and why.
Advertising
ClearQR does not currently display any advertising. This site is supported by its own running costs alone, and we plan to introduce Google AdSense in the future to help keep the generator free. This section describes what to expect in advance, so the policy is accurate from the moment ads are actually turned on.
Once enabled, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites, and to measure how those ads perform. This is standard behavior for any site using Google AdSense.
For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, ClearQR will use Google's consent management solution or another Google-certified CMP integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF). It will ask for your consent before showing personalized ads or setting non-essential cookies, in line with Google's EU User Consent Policy and applicable data protection law. You'll be able to withdraw or change that consent at any time through the same consent prompt, and no personalized ad cookie will be set for these visitors before that consent is given.
You can opt out of personalized advertising, and see which companies have opted to serve personalized ads to you, at Google Ads Settings. You can also manage many third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info.
Children's privacy
ClearQR is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Generating a QR code doesn't require an account, a name, or any other personal information, so this shouldn't come up in practice. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this site, contact us and we'll address it.
Fonts
This site loads web fonts from Google Fonts. Loading a font shares your IP address and browser information with Google, the same as any embedded third-party font.
Uploaded logos
If you upload a logo image, it's processed locally in your browser to embed it into your QR code. It is never uploaded to a server.
Your choices
Because ClearQR doesn't use tracking cookies today, there's currently nothing to opt out of. Once advertising is enabled, the links in the Advertising section above will let you manage personalized ad cookies, and visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland will see a consent prompt before any non-essential cookie is set for the first time.

If this policy changes, the update date above will reflect it. Material changes, including the day advertising is actually turned on, will be reflected clearly on this page.
